Transfers to the Festival in Suzdal
For the convenience of participants and visitors of the Festival, we organize shuttle buses.
August 3

The comfortable bus will take you to Suzdal. Approximate journey time is 5 hours. Departure time: 10 am. Place of departure: to be announced because of the complexity of parking in Moscow, but we will try to organize it in the center next to the metro station. |
If you arrive from Moscow to Vladimir by train, you can take a local taxi or pre-book a ticket for our shuttle that will wait for the participants of the Festival at the railway station. The buses will be provided by the time of the arrival of 4 trains from Moscow in the morning and evening (Strizh and Lastochka). | |

How to Order and Reserve Tickets
All requests for tickets and payments are processed through our partner – the tourist company Geographic Club.
ATTENTION! Reservations will be accepted until July 20!
Contact our manager and send the application with the following information:
- name of a shuttle;
- date of a shuttle;
- shuttle time;
- number of tickets for children and adults;
- arrival time from Moscow to Vladimir and train number for August 3; train number and time of departure from Vladimir to Moscow on August 10;
- your contact information: name and surname of each passenger, telephone number, e-mail address for communication.

By road
The journey by either car or bus from Moscow to Suzdal takes 3-6 hours, depends on traffic. The distance from Moscow to Suzdal is 200 km.
By rail
There is no direct rail connections between Moscow and Suzdal. But there is a scant one-hour-and-forty-minutes train journey from Moscow Kurskaya railway station to Vladimir city (the nearest city to Suzdal) by SAPSAN or LASTOCHKA fast trains. Vladimir city main railway station is ideally positioned in the heart of the city and it takes a 30-minutes short trip by taxi or bus close to most festival destinations of Suzdal. Stuttle service
On the opening day 3rd August 2015 the Festival shuttle service by bus will be organized on the route from Vladimir main railway station to the hotels in Suzdal.
By air
There is no scheduled flights from Moscow to Suzdal.
Getting around Suzdal
Suzdal is a compact city and the majority of venues are located within easy walking distance of each other. During August, the quickest way to get between venues can often be on foot. Suzdal has a good bus service for getting into the city if you’re staying in the outskirts, or for getting around, and most venues are not far from a bus stop. Remember to always carry a venues map.
Some venues are within a stone’s throw of one another – particularly in the Old Town. If you're looking for directions or more information on any of our venues, you can use our interactive venue map.
Taxis
There are a variety of taxi ranks dotted around main station of Vladimir city. Look for the yellow taxis or taxis with International Quilt Festival logo. But remember to always agree the price of your fare in advance.
Cycling
Suzdal has plenty of cyclists, The Festival programme map includes information on some useful routes, but more complete cycling maps can be found later on our website.
